Benfica president Rui Costa believes Manchester United and other interested clubs will 'come close' to reaching their valuation of star striker Goncalo Ramos.
That is according to a report by Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã, which claims that Costa believes interested parties will be prepared to run their asking price close.
United are desperate to bring in a new striker this summer and Ramos is one of several options they are monitoring. The 22-year-old made a name for himself at last year's World Cup in Qatar, scoring a hat-trick in Portugal's 6-1 win over Switzerland in the round-of-16.
He replaced Cristiano Ronaldo that evening and made headlines across the globe for his contributions. Ramos, who turned 22 just over a week ago, enjoyed an outstanding 2022/23 campaign for Benfica, scoring 27 goals and grabbing 12 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions.
