Strictly Come Dancing fans have said they have worked out bosses' 'desperate' move as Chris McCausland addressed facing not one but two show curses.

The comedian is among the favourites to lift the Glitterball this year alongside professional dance partner Dianne Buswel, and last weekend they had viewers in tears with their emotional routine to Liverpool FC anthem You'll Never Walk Alone.

But this weekend, as they opened the sixth week of the BBC One dance contest, it was all about the most spooktacular night of the year as Strictly celebrated Halloween early with its annual special. Dressed in a sparkly suit and frazzled wig, the stand-up grooved along the floor in between gravestones with his partner Dianne Buswell, Chris managed to pick up a score of 26 out of a possible 40.
