BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans said that they “miss” former professional dancer Oti Mabuse after they spotted her in the audience during Saturday night’s show.

The South African dancer, whose elder sister Motsi Mabuse is currently a judge on the show, won the show in 2019 and 2020. The dancing competition returned to TV screens for the fifth live show as 12 contestants battled it out to secure a spot in next week’s Halloween special.

Oti could be seen cheering on dancers in the audience when the camera panned away from the dancefloor. She first joined Strictly Come Dancing in 2015 and performed as a professional dancer for seven years until the 19th series in 2021.

She won the 2019 series with Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher, and the 2020 series with Bill Bailey.
