We all hope that something we have hiding in the back of the cupboard or something we pick up in a charity shop could be worth something one day.
But one Antiques Roadshow guest was left completely stunned when an item he bought from a charity shop for less than £8 turned out to be worth a hell of a lot more.
The man appeared on Sunday night's episode of the BBC One show where he brought a number of his collectible ceramic pieces to be valued as the show made itself at home in Sefton Park in Liverpool.
Lars Tharp, a Chinese ceramics expert, was on hand to give his verdict on the pieces brought in by the man who admitted he had no idea what they were worth.
