Arsenal have failed to make a move for Youri Tielemans despite adding the Leicester City star to ‘their shortlist’ of Emirates Stadium targets, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs. There is uncertainty over the central midfielder’s future as he has entered the final 12 months of his £120,000-per-week contract with the Foxes.
Arsenal are reportedly mulling over whether to head to Leicester with a swap proposal which would involve Tielemans switching to north London and goalkeeper Bernd Leno moving to the King Power Stadium.
The Gunners’ hopes of pulling off the deal have been boosted by the fact it is understood that the Foxes are interested in the German.
Leicester chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has revealed no offers have been received for Tielemans despite the September 1 deadline nearing.
