The Indian cricket team had an unforgettable outing in the 2024 T20 World Cup. In the event that took place in USA and Barbados, the Rohit Sharma-led side bagged the trophy, their first after 17 years.

While the team shone in all fronts, their bowling certainly took the centre stage. Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja has heaped praises on Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh, who was the joint-highest wicket-taker in the tournament along with Afghanistan's Fazalhaq Farooqi.

Both the players picked 17 wickets each. "All the bowlers in India's attack played their role (in the T20 World Cup victory), some got hit but most of them delivered good performances with their tight bowling and cleverness on flat tracks that test your bowling quality, credibility and credentials.

On that note, the name that first comes up is that of Arshdeep Singh," Raja said on his YouTube channel 'Rameez Speaks'. Bumrah, who picked 15 wickets in the event and make life really tough for the opposition batters, bagged the Player of the Tournament award for his impactful performance.

The IPL 2024 was marred with controversies when it comes to Mumbai Indians. The franchise decided to appoint Hardik Pandya as the captain in place of Rohit Sharma ahead of the new season - a decision that did not go down well with a section of the fanbase. As MI failed to perform well on the ground, Hardik faced a lot of criticism and he was even booed by some fans at the Wankhede Stadium. However, things completely changed after Hardik played a major role in guiding India to the T20 World Cup 2024 title. Amongst the many topics he covered during the presser, he talked about the importance of workload management for the premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah and called him a ‘rare bowler'. "I've said it before, workload management for someone like Jasprit (Bumrah) is important. He is one rare bowler that anyone would want. You want him to play important games. During the T20 World Cup 2024, former Pakistan captain Inzamam ul Haq made a strange claim against Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh. He indirectly said that the left-arm pacer was tampering with the ball. Drawing reference to his bowling against Australia, Inzamam said: "Arshdeep Singh, when he was bowling the 15th over, the ball was reversing. is it too early (for reverse swing) with the new ball? This means the ball was ready for reverse swing by the 12th or the 13th over. Umpires should keep their eyes open (to spot) these things...If it was Pakistani bowlers (reverse swinging the ball) this would have been a big issue. We know reverse swing very well and if Arshdeep can come in the 15th over and start reversing the ball, it means some serious work had been done before."
