Arne Engels has declared himself ready to face Rangers at Parkhead on Sunday. The Celtic record signing checked-in to his new surroundings last night after a big money move from Bundesliga outfit Augsburg and he's told Brendan Rodgers that he is ready to pull on the hoops against Philippe Clement's men in Glasgow's east end.
The midfielder knows ultimately the decision will come down to his manager but he hopes to make his bow in front of a packed out 60,000 home support as the Hoops bid to make it four from four and open up a five point lead over their arch rivals.
Speaking to Celtic TV, Engels said: “I hope so. It’s the choice of the manager so I will see about that, but I’m always ready, so we will see.
The trust that the club and the manager is giving me is a lot and it’s nice to experience. It’s also a bonus point actually, so it’s always nice to hear this from such a really good manager.
