Armani Little looks forward to more improvements from the Gillingham team as players return from injury

Gillingham vice captain Armani Little knows there’s much more to come from the table-toppers. The Gills sit top of League 2 after eight games but have yet to hit their full potential.

Manager Mark Bonner said from day one that he expected his team to get better as the weeks go by, and on Saturday was critical of their performance after beating Barrow 2-0.

Little agreed, accepting they can do much more. Speaking after Saturday’s win, he said: “I'm really pleased with the three points.

We went into the changing room (afterwards) saying there were still things to work on and that we can play a lot better than that and there are still things to come. “Winning 2-0 at home, three wins on the bounce is a positive and we’ll just keep building on that really. “It's still early days, so the table doesn't really matter.
