Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois rematch latest with new fight venue named as 'big decision' awaits

Anthony Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn does not expect Wembley Stadium to host a potential rematch between his fighter and Daniel Dubois in the new year.

Last month, the all-British world heavyweight title fight took place in front of over 98,000 fans at the national stadium, a post-war record crowd for a boxing match.

However, Joshua has never previously fought consecutive fights at Wembley, and this seems set to remain the case. Dubois is equally unlikely to have an immediate return to North West London for a rematch.

That is because Hearn has now suggested a second fight between the two would take place in Saudi Arabia. "Riyadh Season runs from October to the end of February or early March, so anything within that period takes place in Riyadh.  "So yeah, it would be a part of Riyadh Season if it was to happen." But a rematch is far from a certainty at this stage, according to Hearn.  "The big decision now really is - do we take the rematch?" Hearn argued. "There's a keenness from His Excellency [Turki Alalshikh] to make that rematch in February; it's part of our options within our contract. "I think AJ will always lean towards the rematch.
