Amber Heard breaks silence in first interview since Johnny Depp trial verdict

Amber Heard has spoken out in her first interview since she lost a high-profile defamation battle against her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

Speaking to NBC Today journalist Savannah Guthriehe, the actress, 36, detailed the “hate and vitriol” she faced online during the trial.

The full interview will air this week on Today and on Friday on the Dateline programme. In a preview published online, Heard said of the jury: “I don’t blame them.

I actually understand. He’s a beloved character and people feel they know him. He’s a fantastic actor.” Responding, Guthrie said: “Their job is to not be dazzled by that.
