AmaZulu coach hopes home advantage gives them an 'edge' ahead of the MTN8 final

AmaZulu head coach Romain Folz is hoping that his side can use their 'home ground' to their advantage in the MTN8 final in front of a sell-out crowd at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.Usuthu has a chance to win their first trophy since 1992 and the 32-year-old Folz believes that his side's preparations have been boosted as a result of the game taking place at their home ground. "The first thing is you don't have to travel, it's always an important point when it comes to preparation and logistics and try to keep the minds and the bodies fresh," Folz told reporters. "When it comes to that, it's their home game in theory, but we are playing in our city, in our stadium.

As I always say, whether you are home or away, the more support you can have from the fans, the better it is.  "We already know that we're playing for so many people, so being 'home' gives us that little boost of energy and that little boost of edge.

So, it's a good point, I'm not going to say we're not happy about that. We're playing in our stadium, and we'll take it."  Usuthu will head into the game with renewed confidence as Folz picked up his first win on South African shores by beating Stellenbosch FC 1-0 while the Buccaneers are still hurting from their heartbreaking 1-0 Soweto derby defeat to Kaizer Chiefs.

However, the French mentor remains grounded as he knows that the game against Pirates will be a different ball game and is expecting a tough match come Saturday.  "My feeling towards it is very simple.
