Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary forced off screen as 'fire' breaks out in ITV This Morning studio

Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary were ushered off-screen by 'firefighters' after a blaze broke out in the This Morning studio.

The presenters were back at the helm of the ITV programme on Tuesday (October 17) when the show was suddenly thrown into chaos.

Alison, 48, and Dermot, 50, present This Morning together every Friday and have regularly stood in for former hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield during the summer holidays over the years.

But it appears they have now been 'confirmed' as the new presenters following Holly's exit last week, which saw her quit after 14 years, as Dermot appeared to announce that he and Alison would be hosting the show for the foreseeable future.
