Alfredo Morelos backed to silence Rangers critics as countryman convinced Galatasaray switch can reignite career

Alfredo Morelos has been backed to shine in Turkey with a reported move to Galatasaray hotting up - banishing the Rangers critics who have been against him this season.

The Colombian began life in Glasgow like a house on fire, scoring seventy-seven goals in his first three seasons at Ibrox as the Gers got themselves back into European prominence after half a decade away from the continental stage.

But this season has proved to be Morelos' worst with just 10 goals in forty games as the Ibrox side have fallen twelve points behind title rivals Celtic.

The changing of manager may not have helped, alongside his contractual situation and fitness issues - which have all led to criticism of the former HJK Helsinki forward.
