Aberdeen chief executive Alan Burrows has insisted they don’t want to torch the SFA’s disciplinary system but they have a burning desire to lead change from within.

The Dons were left furious when their appeal against their captain Graeme Shinnie’s red card appeal at Ross County was kicked out and then an extra game was added before it was felt their challenge was frivolous.

Pittodrie chiefs have vowed to push for change and Burrows admitted they have support from other clubs. He wants to look at ways of revamping the Judicial Panel Protocol and also working more closely with the refereeing fraternity.

Burrows said: “Where we see the opportunity, we want to use the influence we have at the top of the game with the influences and the infrastructure to try to make positive change.
