Adam Thomas has sent somewhat of a double plea to Strictly Come Dancing fans as he gave an update from training. The Waterloo Road star was seen over the weekend during the BBC One dance contest's launch show as viewers saw him discover his dance partner for the first time.
Adam, 35, has been partnered with Luba Mushtuk. While she has been a dancer on the show for a number of years, featuring in the group's professional dance numbers and other performances, this is the first year she has been partnered with one of the celebrity contestants.
Reacting to the pairing, the Manchester-born actor said: "I’m loving life…what is not to love? I’m on Strictly Come Dancing and I’ve got this Russian princess, I’m buzzing, absolutely over the moon." But Adam wasn't best pleased with his debut performance, a group number with the other couples to a medley of tracks, as he took to Instagram to assure fans it 'wasn't his best'. "Heads up, this Saturday night, please, please don't be expecting much from me," the former Emmerdale star said straight to the camera. "It's week one, I'll get better.
I know everyone's got high hopes [and] thinks I'll do amazing, give me time and stop comparing me to Kelvin Fletcher," he continued as he burst out laughing. "I am not Kelvin.
