Out of nowhere, the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations has become a bit of a concern for Manchester United. First of all, Andre Onana has unexpectedly decided to return to the Cameroon squad ahead of the tournament.
United signed the goalkeeper to replace David de Gea in the summer and did not anticipate losing him in the early months of 2024 after a spectacular falling out with manager Rigobert Song during the World Cup.
However, he has since returned to international action to help his country qualify for AFCON and, though it's not yet decided if he will or not, could play in the competition as well.
Altay Bayindir, who also arrived in the summer as backup to Onana, is yet to even make his debut under Erik ten Hag but could be relied on for a host of fixtures between January 13-Februrary 11.
