Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola kept his cards close to his chest when asked about Jeremy Doku's fitness ahead of facing title rivals Liverpool this afternoon (3:45pm).
Doku and Jack Grealish missed the Champions League clash against FC Copenhagen. Doku is nursing a discomfort picked up during Sunday's 3-1 win over Manchester United, while Grealish has been plagued by persistent injury setbacks this campaign.
While the former Aston Villa captain is almost certain to miss the match at Anfield, Doku's condition was not discussed during Friday's press-conference. "My process is which players I will have - if Doku or Jack will be ready, we will know tomorrow," Guardiola said.
On whether Grealish would be available, Guardiola added: "No," before adding: "Tomorrow no, Sunday maybe - that's a joke." Elsewhere, Matheus Nunes was forced off after appearing to dislocated his finger during the second half of the win over Copenhagen.
