Young Boys in calamitous Aston Villa moment as 'incredible' Champions League howler leaves Ally McCoist baffled

Celtic's Champions League rivals Young Boys were involved in moment to forget that ended with an Aston Villa goal.

Ollie Watkins reacted quickest to a calamitous moment at the back as he nipped in and was taken out by the goalkeeper. The England international landed on top of the ball with the referee looking poised to point to the spot before team-mate Jacob Ramsey smashed the ball low into the corner of the net. A quick VAR check took place with the goal given.

On co-commentary duty, Rangers legend Ally McCoist said. "Incredible. That is shocking defending. Watkins sharp as a tac, Fletch. You've got to say the level of defending was extremely poor. That might have been a penalty. I'm laughing, Jacob Ramsay might have asked how [Ollie] Watkins was doing but he's knocked the ball into just about an empty net. Really poor defending. This is the pass from [Mohamed] Camara. I don't know what he is thinking about. Dear me. It probably could have been a penalty. The referee does well to let it go."
