'You're already packed' — Manchester United fans hijack Jurrien Timber post amid transfer interest

Manchester United fans have continued to take matters into their own hands in trying to lure Ajax defender Jurrien Timber to Old Trafford via Instagram.

The Dutch defender is currently preparing for the Netherlands' upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures, but speculation continues over his future with the Eredivisie champions. Erik ten Hag handed Timber his debut aged just 18 at Ajax and is believed to be interested in a reunion as he looks to bolster a number of areas of his United squad, including the defence.

Eric Bailly and Phil Jones could leave the 20-time English champions this summer after seeing their playing time diminishing in recent years. Both defenders have endured a difficult time due to injury at United.

United fans took the opportunity to flood Timber's latest Instagram post, imploring him to follow Ten Hag to the Theatre of Dreams. He posted: "Back to work again! #nations league"

Reds were quick to make the message clear. One fan commented: "Soon #ggmu"

Another added: "Soon you gonna work in Manchester"

A third said: "Lad, you're already packed! Know what am saying?"

"Come to Manchester United GGMU you would be an awesome signing," another supporter added.
