Phil Jones has reportedly been named as a transfer target by Leeds United, Southampton, and newly-promoted Fulham.

All three clubs are said to have placed the former England international on their list of potential summer options. The 30-year-old defender is expected to leave Old Trafford having struggled to break into the team recently. Now, it seems he still may have a future inside the English top flight.

According to Marca, the three clubs are very interested in a move for Jones.

He has made just six appearances inside the Premier League over the last three seasons. Having missed the entirety of the 2020/21 season through injury, he made just four appearances last season too.

That being said, pursuing a deal for the defender would be viewed by most fans as a risk.

Among the teams interested, the most surprising suitor is Leeds United. Having already added Rasmus Kristensen to their squad, it is evident that the club are looking to bolster their defence.

The club had the second worst defensive record in the league last season, conceding 79 goals from 38 games.

If Phil Jones was signed, he would add some much-needed experience to the backline. Despite his recent inactivity, Jones still has over 10 years experience
