Yang Hyun Jun demands Celtic transfer NOW as South Korean star tells club 'do as you promised'

Celtic target Yang Hyun-jun has told his club he wants to leave NOW, not in the winter - and demanded they "do as they promised."

The striker has been in the midst of a battle with Gwangjon as his agents have come out swinging, accusing the club of going back on an agreement to let him leave if an offer from Europe arrived. He claims former CEO Lee Young-pyo told him that after rejecting an offer from Minnesota United and was reportedly furious to learn a bid from Celtic had been knocked back.

The club don't want to let him go now as they are locked in a relegation battle and have offered to let him join Brendan Rodgers' side during the January transfer window. But as quoted by Sports Chosun, Hyun-jun has now demanded a move to Parkhead now...not six months.

He said: "I want to go to Celtic. I want to go in the summer, not winter. I hope (the club) sends it as promised."

It comes after Gangwon boss Yoon Jong-Hwan admitted speculation surrounding a move to Celtic has been difficult for him to deal with. He said he isn't involved in the process that has agents and club trading blows but confessed the player has been struggling after he was left "extremely frustrated" by the club thwarting his exit. He told YNA: "It's a club and agent problem, not something I'm involved in. I hope to work quietly so that it will not be revealed. We keep making the situation difficult by disclosing it to the media."
