WWE: 'Top five performer' fuels speculation that he's making sensational return

WWE could be set to bring Andrade El Idolo back to the company, with the 32-year-old rumoured to want to quit AEW.

Over the last few weeks, reports from Fightful and the Wrestling Observer have revealed that several AEW stars have requested their releases.

The two most notable names, Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews, are believed to be done with AEW as of right now, asking to leave so they can return to WWE, and Andrade could be in the same boat.

As of right now, it’s worth noting that no reputable source has reported that Andrade has asked to leave AEW, unlike Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews.

However, it’s widely speculated that Andrade does want to quit Tony Khan’s promotion to go and rejoin WWE.

The speculation was fuelled over the weekend when the Wrestling Observer reported that the people who want to quit AEW to rejoin WWE are those with partners working for the other company.

Andrade very much fits that description, with the former WWE Superstar marrying Charlotte Flair earlier on this year.

However, that isn’t the only reason that fans are so sure that Andrade, who was recently called one of the “top five performers in the business” by Ric Flair, is quitting AEW and heading back to WWE…

As you can see from the tweet below, Andrade posted a sand timer, with fans believing this is his way of saying that he’s now just waiting until he’s able to return to WWE.

It’s worth noting that this is just specualtion based off nothing more than a cryptic tweet, but as you can see below, fans believe the timing is too convinent to not be about a potential WWE comeback.

It’s worth stressing once again that no one is reporting that Andrade has even asked to leave AEW, nevermind that he’s been granted his release.
