WWE Raw: Major star set to return from injury on tonight's show

WWE Monday Night Raw is set for a major return tonight, with Kevin Owens slated to make a comeback to WWE TV following his injury lay off.

Although all plans are subject to change ahead of tonight’s Raw, KO is expected to be back on the red brand – his first appearance on WWE programming for almost a month.

According to reports from Fightful Select, as of Sunday evening a KO Show segment is planned for Raw, though WWE have yet to advertise it officially ahead of the show. With focus more on Logan Paul’s appearance and the Raw Women’s title match between Bianca Belair and Carmella.

Owens last appeared on Raw on the June 20 episode, as he continued his entertaining rivalry with Ezekiel by coming face-to-face with his ‘brother’ Elias. It was then announced that KO would take on either one of the brothers – or younger sibling Elrod – on the June 27 Raw in a Money in the Bank qualifier.

That match never took place as the 38-year-old was apparently not medically cleared to compete and he hasn’t been seen on Monday Night Raw since.

The only sighting of KO since a surprise appearance during the NHL draft earlier this month. The former Universal Champion was seen bantering with Vancouver Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau, who is a huge WWE Fan.

During the appearance Owens confirmed he wasn’t medically cleared to compete, and he would be back on WWE TV in ‘a couple of weeks’. Something which at the moment looks likely to happen on tonight’s episode.

With SummerSlam just around the corner, Kevin’s possible return could indicate him being part of the card and a possible culmination with his feud with Ezekiel, which started the day after WrestleMania.
