Becky Lynch injury: Latest update will come as disappointing news to WWE fans

WWE has been dealt a big blow after learning that Becky Lynch, one of its top stars, will be out of action for several months.

Prior to Monday Night Raw last night it was reported that Becky had separated her shoulder during her Raw Women’s Championship match with Bianca Belair at SummerSlam.

Appearing on last night’s episode of Raw, Lynch confirmed the reports, indicating that she’s going to be off WWE TV for some time.

After her promo, in which she solidified her face turn and brought back her old ‘The Man’ character, Lynch was attacked backstage by Bayley.

Bayley, flanked by IYO SKY and Dakota Kai, attacked the former Raw Women’s Champion, writing her off TV for some time.

The angle was seemingly to write Becky off TV for even longer, with WWE later confirming that she’s going to be out of action for “several months”.

The news is a huge blow to WWE, with Becky Lynch undeniably being the company’s top female star, and probably one of their biggest stars across the board.

Becky would have likely been involved in the Bianca Belair and Bayley storyline, so the company was forced to pivot its plans last night.

With Lynch out of the picture, WWE partnered Bianca with Alexa Bliss and Asuka as she looks to take down Bayley and her two new stablemates.

However, the news that Becky is injured does set up some exciting possibilities for her to return, now that she’s a face, possibly even at the Royal Rumble.
