WWE Clash at the Castle: Bayley breaks character due to crowd's chant
Bayley enjoyed the ultimate welcome to Cardiff last night as the Principality Stadium hosted the UK’s first WWE pay-per-view in 30 years.
Clash at the Castle put on an unforgettable show for the fans, who created an amazing atmosphere for the travelling Superstars.
The Role Model led her new all-heel stable, Damage Control, into the ring to face Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss and Asuka, but struggled to stay in character as the audience broke into song.
The Cardiff crowd belted out Bayley’s chant in the tune to ‘Hey! Baby’ by Bruce Channel, re-popularised by DJ Ötzi in 2000, and the scenes were spine-tingling.
Accompanied by Dakota Kai and IYO SKY, it was clear The Role Model wanted to arrive and assert her dominance as the villains of the match. But despite being a heel, the crowd would not stop singing for the former Triple Crown and Grand Slam champion.
As the chanting went on, Bayley booed the crowd but not before a cheeky little smile to embrace the moment.
Even Belair, Bayley’s biggest rival at the moment, looked delighted with the support ringing around the stadium.

In a brilliant clip, The Role Model can also be seen shushing the fans in an attempt to stay in character, but it was obvious she was appreciative of the noise levels.
In Bayley’s own way, it was like she was saying: “You aren’t supposed to cheer for a heel!”
Of course, as one of WWE’s biggest and most famous wrestlers on the roster, supporters were always going to cheer for her, heel or not.
The six women provided a great show for the UK fans, which looked to be anyone’s match right until the end.
