WWE: Tyson Fury spot at Clash at the Castle wasn't supposed to air

Tyson Fury’s bizarre sing-along at the culmination of Drew McIntyre’s defeat to Roman Reigns, was never supposed to air – according to a new report. 

The Scottish Warrior was unsuccessful as he challenged Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of Saturday’s Clash at Castle in Cardiff. The UK’s first stadium show since SummerSlam 1992, thirty years ago. 

Thanks to a surprise interference from the debuting Solo Sikoa, McIntyre was unable to defeat Reigns, much to the disappointment of the 60,000 fans inside the Principality Stadium. 

Drew’s way of dealing with the loss was a rather awkward surprise sing-along with Tyson Fury, who had been watching the bout at ringside. 

The British boxer entered the ring at the end of the pitch and after congratulating Roman Reigns, he confronted McIntyre, and many thought an altercation was about to go down between the pair. 

Instead, the Gypsy King lead a rendition of American Pie, alongside the former WWE Champion, which left the watching crowd in Wales rather bemused. T

The moment felt like something usually left for a dark segment after the end of the show, rather than a scene you’d show on the live feed and former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. believes a mistake happened that saw the karaoke session make it to screen.

Talking on his Wrestling With Freddie podcast, Prince Jr said that the reason it was shown was down to somebody forgetting to cut the feed of the broadcast.
