Wrexham v Eastleigh: Parkinson to assess squad 'niggles' on match day

Wrexham AFC play their third home game in a week as the Reds welcome Eastleigh to the Racecourse for a National League clash (Saturday- 3pm kick off). With only nine league games remaining, the Dragons will want to continue their superb recent form in order to keep the pressure on league leaders Stockport County.

Phil Parkinson's men are unbeaten in 12 matches in all competitions and have also reached the FA Trophy final after an entertaining last gasp victory over Stockport in the semi final last Saturday. They swiftly followed that victory with an emphatic National League drubbing of Barnet at the Racecourse on Tuesday evening.

Eastleigh arrive in North Wales in poor form having lost four out of their last five games but the side did manage clinch a victory against Aldershot Town last time out. Wrexham ran out comfortable 2-0 winners in the reverse fixture back in August and Phil Parkinson will be hoping for a similar result as his side still harbour ambitions of winning the league and gaining automatic promotion.

In terms of squad selection Parkinson is confident he'll have a near full strength squad to choose from. He did reveal that there were a couple of slight knocks after the Barnet game but is hopeful that they'll recover in time for the visit of Eastleigh.

Parkinson said: "We've got a couple of niggles from Tuesday. We'll assess those first things in the morning and make the final decision on the team on the day.

"There's nothing serious, nothing long term. Tom O'Connor is back in training and Bryce Hosannah is edging ever closer, so we're getting there with those two."
