Weymouth v Wrexham: Parkinson talks of Dragons 'determination' to bounce back from Woking defeat

Wrexham AFC look to bounce back on Tuesday night as they travel to Weymouth for another vital National League fixture (7.45pm kick off). The Dragons lost for the first time in 15 matches at the weekend as Woking came from behind to triumph 2-1 in front of the BT Sport cameras.

Wrexham could have cut the gap between themselves and Stockport County to four points with a win, but the defeat now means that the Reds' best chance of promotion this campaign is most likely via the play offs. They will be strong favourites to bounce back against Weymouth however, as the Dorset side currently sit 22nd in the National League and are without a win since mid February.

Phil Parkinson said that his side are determined to put things right after the loss at Woking. The Dragons boss was pleased his side are back in action so soon after the disappointing defeat.

Parkinson said that the injury suffered by Callum McFadzean wasn't too serious but it means he probably won't be available for the Weymouth game. The Reds boss also said that some other absentees could feature in the squad.

Parkinson said: "(On McFadzean) It's nothing too serious and it won't be long before he's back in action. Tom O' Connor is back in the squad, Bryce (Hosannah) and Hydey have come with us as well.

"We've taken everyone down with us. In terms of team selection, we'll pick the team that we feel is the right one to get the result."

Parkinson spoke of the determination within the squad to get back to winning ways after the weekend. He said: "It was a hard game, we know we didn't play as well as we can on Saturday. We weren't as good as usual in possession and we've got to improve that.

"It's always good when you have a bad result you can get back to it straight
