"Wouldn’t be good planning" – Journalist drops big Wolves exit claim involving £65m-rated trio

It ‘wouldn’t be good planning’ from Wolverhampton Wanderers if they lose three central midfielders in the summer transfer window, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Serious doubts remain over the immediate futures of Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Leander Dendoncker, potentially leaving manager Bruno Lage desperately short of options in the middle of the pitch.

Several European heavyweights have been linked with a move for the Portugal international, such as Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United as he edges towards the exit door.

Meanwhile, Moutinho has entered the final few months of his current contract at Molineux, and although talks are ongoing over a new deal, the 35-year-old could seek a new challenge ahead of next season.

With the defensive-minded ace’s contract due to expire in the summer of 2023, he’s said to be ‘affordable’ for the Serie A outfit, who are said to have held a long-standing interest in him.

Wolves are reportedly eyeing up moves for Sporting CP pair Matheus Luiz Nunes and Joao Palhinha in order to bolster their midfielder options.
