'Worst I've seen' - Leicester City fans go ballistic after Roma wreck Euro dream

Leicester City's hopes of European glory are over after Jose Mourinho's Roma secured a 1-0 win at the Stadium Olimpico tonight.

Tammy Abraham's header sealed the victory and ensured that Roma made the final of the Europa Conference League courtesy of a 2-1 aggregate victory. Leicester created little in front of goal in what was a tough night for Brendan Rodgers' side but it was the officiating of referee Srdjan Jovanovic that drew anger from the supporters.

The Foxes had legitimate claims for a penalty as early as the third minute when Chris Smalling appeared to impede Wesley Fofana, but the spot kick was not given. And while Leicester fans were not overly enamoured with their side's performance, it was the referee who was in the crosshairs of the fans on social media. Here's what they had to say...

"This referee shouldn’t be allowed to officiate again. Awful."

"What abysmal refereeing tonight. Absolutely dreadful."

"Easily the worse performance from a set of officials I've ever seen."

"Some of the officiating in this game is shocking."

"We've lost against Roma and fair enough but the ref was abysmal at absolute best. An absolute disgrace."

"Oh and the ref. Wow."

"Gutted as that's our season over. We didn't lay a glove on Roma tonight. The ref was one of the worst I've seen, but we needed to do more. We just can't seem to create anything at the moment."

"Those constant poor refereeing decisions. Should never ref again."
