Woman's plea after camper van containing late dad's belongings stolen from driveway

A fitness instructor has been left 'gutted' after her camper van containing 'hugely sentimental' items was stolen while she slept. To make matters worse, the white Ford Transit camper van was taken on the weekend of her late father's birthday.

Sherry Daniels is appealing for help to locate the vehicle, which was stolen from outside her home on Victoria Row, Knypersley, Staffordshire at 5.52am on Saturday February 24. CCTV footage from neighbouring properties showed a man walking at the front of the row of terrace houses before going to the back and stealing the 2011 vehicle, reports Stoke-on-Trent Live.

Sherry, 48, said of her beloved van: "I bought it just before lockdown. I paid £6,500 but it is probably worth more than that now as people are paying a fortune for them. It was stolen from my drive at the back of my house at 5.52am on Saturday. It turned left towards Chell.

"It is white and has a large compass on the back. It has items of great sentimental value inside. It has some of my dad's belongings inside. He passed away suddenly in 2020. His birthday was today (Sunday, February 25) so it was not a great weekend for it to happen."

"I got the van just after he passed. A teddy bear made out of my dad's clothes is inside the van. It goes everywhere with me. Collars of my dogs, which have passed away, are there too. They come out on a lot of adventures with me."

Sherry added: "I go all over the place in the camper van. I do a lot of walking and I spend a lot of time in the Lakes. I paddle board and the paddle boards are in the camper van as well. I am gutted."
