Woman pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by a van
A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision in Swansea. South Wales Police attended a collision on Carmarthen Road, Fforestfach, Swansea on Sunday afternoon at around 4pm.
The road was closed in both directions between the junction of Ystrad Road and the junction for Pentregethin Road. It reopened at around 5.30pm.
Police have now confirmed that a 72-year-old woman, a pedestrian has been taken to Morriston Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a van. A spokesperson said: "South Wales Police was called shortly before 4pm today following a report of a collision between a van and a female pedestrian.
"The pedestrian, a 72-year-old woman has been taken to Morriston with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Investigations continue."
