Woman, 32, arrested in Wigan on suspicion of dealing drugs as police 'seize pills, cash and paraphernalia'

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs in Wigan.

Police stopped the 32-year-old, who has not been named, on Lime Street in Scholes on Wednesday morning (February 9).

She was arrested on suspicion of Possession of Class A with Intent to Supply Controlled Drugs.

Police shared photos on social media of evidence bags which contained a large number of pills and cash.

A phone and other items including drug paraphernalia were also seized.

In a post on Wednesday evening, GMP Wigan West said the woman was in custody.

A statement said: “32 yr old female stopped on Lime Street this morning and subsequently arrested on suspicion of Possession of Class A with Intent to Supply Controlled Drugs.

“Currently in custody and waiting to be dealt with…”
