Leyton Orient fan arrested after making alleged racist remark to Colchester forward Corie Andrews
A Leyton Orient supporter has been arrested after allegedly making a racist remark to Colchester United player Corie Andrews during their League Two match on Saturday.
The incident at Orient's Breyer Group Stadium is being investigated by police.
Orient say they “will take the strictest possible measures should the outcomes of the investigation find the individual guilty.”
Striker Andrews, 24, joined Colchester on loan from AFC Wimbledon in January.
Freddie Sears scored the only after four minutes as Colchester won 1-0.
A Leyton Orient statement read: “The club can confirm a supporter has been arrested following today’s home match against Colchester United.
“During the game, the Colchester bench notified the fourth official to make him aware of an alleged racist remark which they had heard directed towards a Colchester player who was on their bench.
