Wolves transfer decision confirmed as Bruno Lage gives Hwang Hee-chan verdict

John Ruddy is set to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers after five years with the club.
Head coach Bruno Lage wants to keep deputy goalkeeper Ruddy at Molineux, but Wolves are set to release him at the end of his contract as things stand. Defenders Marcal and Romain Saiss are also poised to leave Wolves, while the club remain in talks with Joao Moutinho over a new deal.
Posting on Instagram, Ruddy said: “So yesterday (Sunday) seems as though it will be my last appearance for Wolves. Thank you to the fans for your support through the highs and lows.
“Thank you to the backroom staff for all of your support and more importantly your friendships over the last five years. A huge thank you to every player that I was lucky enough to play and train alongside. I believe that a successful team is driven by the culture of its players, the culture we created over these years has enabled us to take this club to places no one thought possible.”
Bruno Lage has praised 'top professional' Hwang Hee-chan ahead of his move to Wolverhampton Wanderers becoming permanent in July.
Hwang joined Wolves on loan from RB Leipzig last August and the club exercised their option to make it permanent for £14million on his 26th birthday in January. The forward will officially become a Wolves player on July 1.
The South Korean's form dipped dramatically in the second half of the season and he only scored one goal in 16 appearances after the permanent transfer was announced. After scoring four goals in his first six Premier League outings, Hwang endured a run of one in his final 24 matches to complete his maiden campaign at Molineux.
