Wolves set to complete third January transfer

Wolves look set to make their third new addition in the January transfer window with the signing of striker Jung Sang-bin.

The 19-year-old is set to arrive at Molineux from Korean side Suwon Samsung, where he has broken into the first-team picture.

As reported by talkSPORT, the player is "signing" for Wolves before Monday’s deadline but is set to go straight out on loan to Grasshoppers for the rest of the season as he looks to adapt to European football.

It is not yet known what sort of transfer fee will be involved in the move.

Jung is seen as an exciting player for the future, being known as the "Korean Mbappe" by the South Korean media.

He has earned a full international cap coming on as a second-half substitute in the 5-0 World Cup Qualifying win over Sri Lanka back in June. It turned out to be a dream debut for the teenager who netted the fifth goal of the game.

The player is currently on international duty with South Korea U23s with some reports that he left the training camp this week.

Jung is not the only January arrival who will spend the rest of the season with Grasshoppers after completing a move to Molineux with Japanese midfielder Hayao Kawabe returning to his former club on a temporary deal after signing a permanent contract with Wolves.

Bruno Lage has also completed the signing of Portuguese prospect Chiquinho in this window with the 21-year-old working with the first-team squad ahead of the return to action in the FA Cup fourth round next weekend when Wolves take on fellow Premier League side Norwich City.
