87 passes completed, seven duels won - Wolves' three best players in victory at Tottenham

Jose Sa, Max Kilman and Leander Dendoncker caught the eye in Wolves’ superb 2-0 victory away to Tottenham in the Premier League.

Bruno Lage’s side were looking to bounce back from the disappointment of losing at home to Arsenal as they made the trip to north London on Sunday. Wolves did exactly that, clinching a massive win in the  battle for European football thanks to early goals from Raul Jimenez and Dendoncker.

According to Sofascore, there were three Wanderers players who stood out the most against Spurs, of those to have played at least 45 minutes.

Sa has been a revelation between the sticks since joining Wolves last summer and he enjoyed another exceptional afternoon on Sunday.

The Portuguese made an incredible seven saves on the day, six of which came inside the penalty area, as he played a big part in his side getting all three points. Not only that, the 29-year-old also made four clearances, completed 13 passes and won both of his duels.

Kilman has been one of Wolves’ best players of the season and he enjoyed another great day at the office at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 24-year-old was in the thick of the defensive battle throughout the game, making five clearances, blocking three shots, winning three duels and recording three interceptions. He also completed 40 of his 46 passes (87%), showing that he was effective on the ball as well as off it.

Dendoncker was one of Wolves’ goalscoring heroes at Spurs but his performance was about much more than that.

The Belgian was an influential presence in the middle of the park, making one tackle and one clearance, along with completing both of his attempted long balls and winning two duels. Like Kilman, the 26-year-old also enjoyed an 87% pass completion rate (34
