Wolves: £100k-a-week star could now leave Molineux

“There’s a feeling” at Wolves that Raul Jimenez could leave the club this summer, according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook.

The £100,000-per-week ace has been a huge part of Wolves’ success since their promotion to the Premier League back in 2018, but the Mexican international has been linked with a move away from Molineux.

Despite starting more than 25 of Wolves’ Premier League games this season, talkSPORT believe that this could be the striker’s fourth and final year in the Midlands.

Jimenez has scored 54 goals across all competitions in the famous gold, but only six of those have come since he returned from a sickening head injury sustained at Arsenal back in November 2020.

Therefore, the report states that Wolves are weighing up the possibility of cashing in on Jimenez, who could benefit from moving on to pastures new following a challenging 18 months on and off the pitch.

After scoring 15 goals in his debut season in English football, Jimenez made his loan move permanent after joining in a club record £30m.

But Crook reckons that with just two years remaining on the Mexican’s deal, Wolves might receive only half of that should they decide to sell.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “Raul Jimenez might [leave] as well. I think there’s a feeling there after coming back from that horror head injury, he needs a change of scenery and he’s someone they can get maybe £15-20 million for.”

Jimenez was a fans’ favourite and an extremely popular figure with the Molineux faithful even before his serious injury, so he would therefore be a huge miss both on and off the pitch should Wolves decide to part ways.
