Willie Collum to referee Rangers and Celtic Scottish Cup semi-final as VAR official revealed

Willie Collum has been appointed referee for Sunday’s massive Scottish Cup semi-final showdown between holders Rangers and treble-chasing fierce rivals Celtic.

The Scottish FA have announced that the 44-year-old will be the man in the middle at Hampden with Steven McLean will be the man in Clydesdale House for VAR. Collum will be assisted by Daniel McFarlane and Dougie Potter while Don Robertson is the fourth official.

It will be the first time Collum has taken charge of the Old Firm derby in over a year. He was appointed for the penultimate Scottish Premiership encounter of last season at Ibrox. Celtic won 2-1 on that occasion as Ange Postecoglou's men came from behind to win thanks to goals from Tom Rogic and Cameron Carter-Vickers.
