Rangers vs Celtic referee revealed as Steven McLean gets the call for Ibrox clash

Steven McLean will be the man in the middle for the derby between Rangers and Celtic when the sides face off on Saturday for the final time this season.

McLean has experience of the fixture having taken control of the marquee fixture which Don Robertson was thrust into a starring role at Hampden when the sides last met after Willie Collum suffered an injury minutes before kick-off. That led to John Beaton being drafted in as the fourth official as Ange Postecoglou's side sealed a 1-0 triumph and secured their return for the Scottish Cup Final.

And now Celtic head over the river as champions as they taken on Michael Beale's men desperate to land a blow ahead of the big Ibrox rebuild. McLean's linesman will be David Roome and Jonathan Bell, with Greg Aitken the VAR referee. He is set to be assisted on the technology by David McGeachie while Robertson will act as the fourth official.

McLean last refereed Celtic during their 3-1 win over Hibs on March 18. And his last outing involving Rangers came on April 15 in a 5-2 victory against St Mirren.
