Wigan A-road reopens after 'multi-vehicle' crash left it closed in both directions
A Wigan A-road was shut to traffic tonight, Tuesday February 11, following a crash. The A577 Ormskirk Road in Pemberton was closed in both directions.
The closure was in place between Sherwood Drive and Norley Hall Avenue. Inrix, the traffic data company, reports multiple vehicles were involved.
The incident was first reported at around 7.30pm and reopened shortly before 9pm. It is currently unclear what type of vehicles are involved or whether anyone has been injured.
Inrix, the traffic data company, said: "Traffic easing, earlier accident on A577 Ormskirk Road in both directions from Sherwood Drive to Norley Hall Avenue."
Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for a comment.
