A main road in Heald Green is closed by police this evening following a serious collision on Monday evening (February 24). Emergency services, including paramedics and police, are at the scene on Wilmslow Road.
Motorists are stuck in queues in the nearby Sainsbury's car park following the incident, which has seen the road closed off at the roundabout and junction with the A34.

Wilmslow Road remains closed this evening following a serious collision involving a cyclist.
Officers from GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now at the scene.
The collision has been reported at the roundabout at the junction with Wilmslow Road and Royal Crescent.
A GMP spokesperson said: Officers are in attendance following reports of a collision on Royal Crescent, Heald Green.
"Road closures are in place as this work continues."
A cyclist is involved in the serious collision near a busy roundabout in Cheadle this evening, the MEN understands.
Police have blocked off Wilmslow Road following the major crash, thought to have involved a cyclist and other vehicles.
Road closures remain in place.
Motorists in the area are stuck in 'backed up' traffic near the A34 and also stuck in a 'gridlock' in a nearby Sainsbury's car park.
"Avoid driving near Sainsbury’s roundabout.," a motorist wrote on social media.
