A main road in Salford has been closed off this afternoon (Sunday, February 23) with nearby residents reportedly told 'to stay indoors' by police following an incident.
A car has been left with a badly crushed bonnet and a nearby bus stop taped off amid the incident on Liverpool Road (A57) near the junction with Milton Street in Eccles.
Emergency services, including police, remain at the scene this afternoon. Details surrounding the nature of the incident have not yet been confirmed.

Homes have been evacuated due to a gas leak following a car crashing into a building earlier today.
It is thought the vehicle hit a block of flats, sending 'bricks flying everywhere' and also hitting a pipe, which has caused a gas leak.
A number of nearby properties have been evacuated while police and fire crews work at the scene.
The A57 is closed off in both directions currently.
A large road closure remains in place.
A car appears to have been involved in a collision on Liverpool Road this afternoon.
A witness nearby said the area has been closed off, including a nearby bus stop, and that police are at the scene.
"There are bricks everywhere. There's also a bollard smashed to bits. People are being told to stay indoors by police," she said.
The latest update from live traffic service Inrix reads: "A57 Liverpool Road in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to accident from Gladstone Road to Milton Street."
