Why PSV star 'better on one leg than Leicester City's midfield' could be perfect summer transfer

To say “Ibrahim Sangare is better on one leg than Leicester’s midfield,” as former PSV Eindhoven manager Aad de Mos did, is an exaggeration. But, the Ivorian definitely has all of the attributes required to significantly strengthen City’s options in the centre of the park.

Of all of the players City have so far been linked with in midfield as part of their shake-up of the squad this summer, Sangare is the best fit. If they were able to pull off a deal, it would be a coup for City.

As De Mos continued: “He is extraordinary. This season, he has been the king of PSV. You miss Sangere when he’s not playing. He isn’t just suitable for Leicester, he can easily keep up at an even higher club. He can easily play at Tottenham and certainly at Arsenal.”
