Why Manchester United and Man City fans are protesting today at Old Trafford and Anfield
While they may be rivals on the pitch, fans of Manchester United, Everton, Manchester City and Liverpool will come together this afternoon in a joint protest against rising costs of football for the matchgoing fans.
United host Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday (1.30pm kick-off), while Man City travel to Liverpool in what is the most anticipated match of the weekend for neutrals. Ahead of both the games, fans of all four clubs will be looking to take advantage of the interest to get their message out.
The protest is part of a wider campaign by the Football Supporters Association. More protests are expected to take place in the future as they look to get their massage out.
