Why Josh Sheehan, Eoin Toal, Owen Beck & Lloyd Isgrove won't play for Bolton's B team today

Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt is aiming to give minutes to those members of his squad coming back from injury and settling in to life at the club in next week's clash against Tranmere Rovers.

Josh Sheehan and Lloyd Isgrove have been working hard on returns from long-term injuries at Wanderers. Sheehan was back in action last month against Crewe Alex after returning from a ruptured ACL.

Winger Isgrove has been out since last November with hamstring problems and, more recently, a foot problem. It is the same which skipper Ricardo Santos has recently had issues with.

Eoin Toal also played in the Papa Johns Trophy game versus the Railwaymen in his debut following his transfer from Derry City. He has not featured since then.

Liverpool loanee Owen Beck is still yet to make his Wanderers debut. The defender has joined from the Anfield side after a spell at Portuguese side Familicao where he failed to feature.

Wanderers are set to resume their Papa Johns Trophy campaign against Tranmere at Prenton Park next Tuesday. While there are doubts over Isgrove featuring, the other three could well play against the Wirral outfit.

Evatt said: “Izzy is still struggling with his plantar fascia, even though it’s not serious, it takes a little while to settle.

"Eoin and Josh Sheehan are progressing all of the time, I think they’re probably 90 minutes away from being fully back involved and that 90 minutes I would think would be at Tranmere next Tuesday.

“I wouldn’t think any of the first team would be involved on Wednesday. I think what we’ll do is give them a good hard solid training session on Wednesday on return from MK and then
