Who is Shola Shoretire? Manchester United youngster included in squad vs Wrexham
Manchester United youngster Shola Shoretire will be hoping for a chance to impress Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag during the pre-season tour of the US.
The winger, who spent the second half of last season on loan at League One side Bolton Wanderers, has been with United since the age of 10. Shoretire is highly thought of within the United Academy and will be hoping to get some valuable game time having been included in the squad to face Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's Wrexham in the pre-season friendly against Wrexham at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California, on Wednesday.
Shoretire burst onto the scene at United, scoring a hat-trick for the Under-23 side against Blackburn in February 2021, days before signing his first professional contract and then being included in the first-team squad for the first time. While another loan move could be on the cards for this season, the Wrexham game will provide an opportunity to potentially play his way into manager Erik ten Hag's plans ahead of the new campaign.
Here is all you need to know about him.
