Ruben Dias insists Man City will cope if Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva leave

Ruben Dias doesn't want to lose Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva this summer - but insists that Manchester City will move on without them if they must.

City have already lost captain Ilkay Gundogan to Barcelona, while Riyad Mahrez is expected to complete a move to Al Ahli having been left out of the pre-season squad that is touring Japan and South Korea. Walker is wanted by Bayern Munich - who City face in Tokyo on Wednesday - with Pep Guardiola admitting that he doesn't know if Walker will be at the club next season.

Bernardo is another player in demand, with the Portuguese's long-term stance being that he wants to move closer to Portugal and away from Manchester.

With so much turnover and uncertainty this summer, Dias believes that the interest in City's senior players reflects the positive work the club are doing. And while he would love both Walker and Bernardo to stay, Dias insists that the squad will adapt and move on without them if needed.

"When it comes to all of our players, all of us are very important," he said. "All of us will be desired by other clubs. It's good that, for those being spoken about, to manage to get them to stay. In the end, football is about people coming and going. You've said two names [Walker and Bernardo], other names have gone this season and last.

"It's unfortunate because of how good we are together. It's football, it is what it is. It's not like any other profession when things may be stable over a long period of time. We need to adapt, let's see what happens.
