Lionel Messi was yet again the instigator of magic at the weekend for Inter Miami as they beat New York Red Bulls 2-0 in his first MLS game.

Messi spearheaded his side to an impressive win in New York. The David Beckham-owned club were bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference before they returned to league action but now with Messi the future is looking a lot brighter.

The 2-0 win keeps their MLS Playoff hopes alive. Despite Messi's astonishing form so far, the win at Red Bull Arena came with the Argentinian superstar and his former Barcelona team mate Sergio Busquets being left out of the starting lineup.
