Whitstable Town manager Jamie Coyle pleased squad have added more goals to game as they back up 4-0 Kent Senior Trophy triumph with league wins over Erith & Belvedere and Snodland Town

Whitstable boss Jamie Coyle is pleased his side have added more goals to their game this season.

The promotion-chasing Oystermen earned a 1-0 win at Erith & Belvedere in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division last weekend.

Midfielder Bradley Schafer got the game’s only goal, adding to his brace in a 4-0 Kent Senior Trophy triumph at Holmesdale last Wednesday when Javaun Splatt also netted twice.

Victory over the Deres also saw Whitstable keep a first clean sheet of this league campaign.

Coyle said: “We played Holmesdale in the week and got a clean sheet there.

“As a manager that played at centre-half myself, it’s something I pride myself on.

“If we’re going to go on and get out of this league, we’re going to need a better record than two clean sheets in 10 games. We need to continue performing, defensively, like that.

“But there’s been some really promising signs we’re showing that we have started to be a bit
